Elena Gamm

Speech-Language Pathologist

My interest in speech-language pathology began during my undergraduate degree while completing an independent study course in a research lab which focussed on cognitive-communication and acquired brain injury. Through this research experience, I quickly learned the importance of communication across the entire lifespan and appreciated how difficulties with communication impact ones social, academic, vocational and psychological aspects of life. I completed a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Biology & Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour at McMaster University followed by a Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology at McMaster University.

My clinical interests include cognitive-communication, social communication, language and literacy, and swallowing. I am passionate about supporting individuals in improving their ability to connect with others and ensuring their safety and quality of life through effective communication and safe swallowing. I strive to provide compassionate, individualized care that empowers each person to reach their fullest potential.
